For the purposes of this Contract, persons with disabilities shall refer to individuals who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others. Persons with disabilities in the Philippines shall have the right to equal opportunities, full participation, and inclusion in all aspects of life, as enshrined in the Magna Carta for Persons with Disabilities and other relevant laws and regulations.
